Hello Spiritual Soldiers,
It’s been a few days. I hope you’ve had a chance to self-reflect, be present, and connect more deeply with yourself. I’ve also needed some time to clear out the congestion—physically, mentally, and spiritually—and get back into nature. Let me also say this: if you’re soaking up the sun, please wear your sunscreen. Even when it’s cloudy, the bright sky will still burn you—I learned the hard way!
This week, I took some much-needed time off and made it a point to disconnect and just be. I’ve been beach-hopping, soaking in the water’s healing energy, letting it do what it does best—cleanse, clear, and calm. Being near or in water always helps me clear my mind and return to peace.
There’s something so therapeutic about sitting in the sand or on a rock, just watching the waves crash and move effortlessly. It reminds me of the breath—how it flows without effort. When you’re standing or sitting on the sand, take a moment to observe how the waves reach the shore. Notice the give and take, like an inhale and exhale. Even if you close your eyes, just listen to the rhythm. Try breathing in sync with the waves.
And when you’ve settled into that rhythm, listen to the wind. The wind near the water can be so powerful. Each gust feels like an invitation to realign. Let it wash over you. Let it clear your thoughts, redirect your energy, and bring you back to center. Feel how it moves through you.
Then, there’s the sand—before the waves hit, it’s firm. You can stand tall, grounded. But the moment the water touches it, it softens, and you start to sink. Think of your worries like that—solid and stuck. But then the water comes in, and slowly, those thoughts start to dissolve. And in that moment, all you can focus on is staying upright. The things you were worried about feel a little less heavy, a little less urgent.
On the day-to-day, we’re constantly trying to find our center. But if you ever find yourself near a body of water, pause. Listen to your surroundings. See if you can become one with the elements—water, wind, sand, grass. You’d be surprised how much clarity you can find in the middle of your own congestion.
Now, let me be clear—your problems don’t magically disappear. But there’s something about choosing ease. Allowing yourself to be momentarily present. Acknowledging your thoughts without letting them flood you. Giving yourself the chance to just breathe, find peace, and sit in grace. That moment is everything.
What have you done this summer to clear your mind?
With love & peace,
Rayne
